Getting stuck outside in severe weather is never a good situation. For the most part, you'll want to head indoors to a location without windows. But if that's not an option, a vehicle can keep you safe from most severe weather -- including hail, believe it or not.

If you're caught out on the road in a hailstorm, you'll want to take some extra precaution. If you are on the road during a hailstorm, you'll firstly want to try to find a pull off point under an overpass if possible. If not possible, pull over, stay in your car, and then turn your back to winds and cover yourself with a blanket to avoid getting injured by broken glass.
