Alyssa Beck

Alyssa joined the News 4-Fox 11 team as a multimedia journalist in March 2023.

Born and raised in Southern California, Alyssa attended California State University, San Bernardino where she earned her B.A. in Communication with a concentration in Media Studies. She spent her senior year with the school’s news station, Local Matters, where she worked both behind the scenes and in front of the camera as an anchor and reporter.

During her college years, Alyssa spent most of her time on the softball field, where she was a Division II outfielder for the CSUSB team. Being a student-athlete allowed her to make lifelong connections and taught her to be grateful for every opportunity.

Alyssa’s passion for journalism stemmed from her love of writing. She’s always enjoyed storytelling and after moving to Reno in July 2022, she’s excited to explore and share everything the Silver State has to offer.

In her free time, Alyssa enjoys sitting outside with a book or participating in extracurricular activities and sports teams with her friends.
