Abigail Vaerewyck

Abigail joined the News 4-Fox 11 team as a Multimedia Journalist in June of 2021.

Born and raised in the Dallas metroplex area, Abby then attended Arizona State University, where she received her B.A. from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. During her time in Phoenix she reported, anchored and forecasted the weather for Cronkite News on Arizona PBS. She also interned with the city channel of Phoenix, PHX-TV.

Abby found her passion for journalism after working on her high school’s weekly broadcast and shadowing WFAA reporter, Kevin Reece through a mentorship program. She loves to find creative ways to tell stories.

When not working on stories, Abby loves to explore the outdoors by hiking, roller skating, and walking her rescue dog, Cleo.
