In a couple of Tweets, Baltimore Ravens Quarterback Lamar Jackson addressed questions about injuries and his time on the field.

Jackson missed the rest of last season after he injured his PCL in the Week 13 game against the Denver Broncos. After that game, the team had 2 wins and 3 losses in the remaining 5 games, including two consecutive losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals to close out the season.

Jackson tried to dispel rumors that he wasn't playing because he didn't have a contract:

I don’t remember me sitting out on my guys week 1 vs jets To week 12 vs Broncos. How come all of a sudden I sit out because of money in which I could’ve got hurt at anytime within that time frame When we know the Super Bowl been on my mind since April 2018.

Let’s get real. I rather have a 100% PCL than go out there and play horrible forcing myself to put my guys in a bad situation now that’s selfish to me.

Jackson has yet to sign a long-term contract with any NFL team. The Ravens placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Jackson after failing to come to an agreement with him. Earlier this week, Jackson Tweeted that he requested a trade from the Ravens shortly before the non-exclusive franchise tag was placed on him.
