LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Las Vegas Raiders have met with Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Bryce Young ahead of next month's NFL Draft, according to a new report.
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo said Thursday that Young met with the Raiders following a dinner with the Carolina Panthers Wednesday night.
Young is scheduled to take part in Alabama's pro day on Thursday.
The Raiders have the seventh-overall pick in the draft and have been linked to several quarterbacks in the class, even after signing Jimmy Garoppolo this month.
Still, other quarterback-needy teams are picking ahead of Las Vegas, including Carolina, who traded up with Chicago to obtain the first-overall pick.
In three seasons with the Crimson Tide, Young threw for 8,356 yards and 80 touchdowns over 34 career games.
He received the Heisman Trophy, which is annually awarded to the player recognized as the best in college football, for his sophomore season in 2021.
The first round of the 2023 NFL Draft is scheduled for Thursday, April 27, in Kansas City.
