LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to pursue Jimmy Garoppolo once free agency opens this month, according to a new report.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler said on SportsCenter Friday that the Raiders will be in the mix for the 31-year-old quarterback.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported earlier in the week that Garoppolo was expected to draw interest from the Raiders, Panthers and Texans.

Garoppolo enters free agency after spending six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, during which time he started 55 games and threw for 13,599 yards and 82 touchdowns.
He led the team to a 13-3 record, an NFC championship and a Super Bowl appearance in the 2019 season.
Garoppolo has battled injuries that have shortened several of his seasons, however.
He tore an ACL in his third game in 2018, suffered a high-ankle sprain in 2020, and sat out the end of the 2022 season with a foot injury.
Las Vegas is in the market for a starting quarterback after releasing veteran starter Derek Carr last month. Carr ultimately signed a new contract with the New Orleans Saints.
The Raiders also hold the seventh-overall pick in this year's NFL Draft, which is stocked with highly-touted quarterback prospects like Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud and Anthony Richardson.
