Sparks High School Football projected to lose nearly 50 helmets by 2019
It's the most important piece of equipment on a football field and for Sparks High School, it's time for an upgrade.
Over the course of the next 2 seasons, Sparks is projected to have nearly 50 helmets not pass recertification. The cost of a single helmet runs about $450 dollars. In a study conducted by the Institute of Medicine, it was reported that High School Football players are nearly twice as likely to sustain a concussion over college players.
If you'd like to help out, Sparks High School \ill be hosting a fundraiser for the football program on May 5th, 2018 at Mummers on Victorian Ave at 7 pm.
