Baber, Nevada football roll past San Jose State 59-14
The Nevada football team started fast and finished strong in a 59-14 rout of San Jose State on Saturday afternoon at Mackay Stadium.
The Wolf Pack (2-8) were led by a historic performance from junior defensive back Dameon Baber, who became the third player in NCAA history to score three return touchdowns in a game.
Baber found pay dirt on a pair of interception returns -- 100 yards and 39 yards -- and a 6-yard touchdown return of a blocked punt.
Meanwhile, Ty Gangi had the Wolf Pack offense humming, tossing for 232 yards and three touchdowns on 16 of 23 passing. His primary target was Wyatt Demps, who hauled in seven catches for 115 yards and two touchdowns.
The victory marked Nevada's most lop-sided victory since 2011 against Idaho.
Nevada travels to San Diego State on Saturday, Nov. 18, for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
