The Wolf Pack Baseball team suffered a big setback on Day 1 of the Mountain West Tournament, falling 13-8 to UNLV. Nevada trailed by as much as 8-1 before rallying to tie the game at 8-8 in the 8th inning, only to see the Rebels plate five in the ninth to go on to win.

Nevada will now need to dig out of the loser's bracket of the double-elimination tournament. The Pack will take on the loser of San Diego State/San Jose State at 1:30 p.m.

Despite winning the Mountain West regular season title, Nevada will need to capture the conference tournament championship as well in order to make it to an NCAA Regional, something the program has not been able to do since 2000.
