LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Darrell Edward Brooks, 39, who is accused of plowing into a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, was convicted of statutory sexual seduction on November 1st, 2006 for having consensual sex with a 15-year-old, the victim conceived a child.
Brooks was convicted of this crime in Sparks, Nevada, and originally was sentenced to probation.
He was arrested for Failure to Obey Sex Offender Laws, on June 23, 2016, by Sparks Police in conjunction with RSONU, he bailed out on this charge and never appeared in court.
RSONU has an active warrant for his arrest for that failure to appear which was issued on August 15, 2016.
The RSONU operates as a regional, multi-jurisdictional and collaborative entity to carry out the requirements of community notifications for Washoe County, the City of Sparks, and the City of Reno.

Brooks is a tier 2 offender, the second most serious class of sex offenders in the Nevada Sex Offender Registry.
Tier 2 offenders are registered for 25 years and have to personally check in with police once every 180 days.
Brooks has been charged with crimes 16 times since 1999.
He currently has multiple charges pending against him.
