Mysterious foam filling Santa Clara street
They're calling it the "Santa Clara Blob."
A mysterious white foam filled a street in Santa Clara on Friday, blocking several businesses and covering some cars in the area.
Santa Clara Police Department Lt. Dan Moreno said the foam originated from a business that services jet engines.
The business' fire suppression system uses the foam; and the mechanism that controls it malfunctioned.
Luckily, the foam release was not caused by a fire, and the foam itself is not dangerous.
According to KTVU, the foam was deeper than 5 inches in some areas earlier Friday afternoon.
