RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Members of the Northern Nevada DUI Task Force discussed on Wednesday the recent spate of deadly crashes in the Reno area.
Pictures of victims were shown in the Washoe County Commission Chambers as a sobering reminder.
Nine people were killed in several crashes over the past two weeks, and alcohol is a suspected factor in several.
The goal of Wednesday's meeting was to educate the community on the devastating effects of drunk and impaired driving.
The victim impact panels are held every month, with DUI officers required to attend. To learn more about the Task Force and upcoming impact panels, visit nndtf.org.
