Washoe County identifies man killed in Picket Park shooting

The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred at Picket Park in Reno.

Joshua Kent, a 22-year-old man believed to be homeless, was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center following the shooting but succumbed to his injuries on October 19.

The Reno Police Department responded to Picket Park around 7 p.m. on October 17. There they found a victim of gunshot wounds. The victim was taken across the street to the hospital.

Police believe the incident was isolated, and there is no threat to the public.
