Code red lockdown lifted at Turning Point School in west Reno
The code red lockdown at a west Reno school has been lifted, according to a spokeswoman with the Washoe County School District.
Turning Point School was placed on a code red lockdown shortly after 10 a.m. on Tuesday when police said a student caused a disturbance.
The student was physically out of control, and used a fire extinguisher to break windows of safety glass near staff members, according to Sergeant Tracy Moore with school district police.
Moore says the student has frequent issues and a history of similar behavior.
No one was injured and no other surrounding schools were placed on lockdown.
