Toys for Tots back for the holiday season

Recipients of the Toys for Tots program are given a number and a pick up time based on the number. This year the list went out but anything after 12 PM was listed as AM which workers say is incorrect.

Toys for Tots is back and this year the United States Marine Corps is setting a goal of 90,000 toys to 25,000 children aged 0-14 in the greater Reno area.

The main goal for the event is to provide a shiny, new toy at Christmas. They want to give children a message of hope to children in need that will motivate them to grow into productive citizens and leaders in the community.

Donations of new, unwrapped toys can be put into boxes outside of stores and organizations in Northern Nevada including: Papa Murphy's, Walmart, Union Federal Credit Union, Planet Fitness and much more found here.

Papa Murphy's has partnered with the Marine Corps Reserve to help campaign for the event. They will have boxes at all 13 of their locations in the greater Reno area. If you donate at Papa Murphy's, you will receive a discount card to the store valued over $30.

United State Marine Corps reserve will take donations all the way up until Christmas.
