Authorities are looking for a suspect in connection with a vehicle burglary reported earlier this month at a trailhead off Mt. Rose Highway.

According to a statement from the Washoe County Sheriff's Office, the break-in was reported on Monday, Jan. 1, in the parking area of a trailhead.

The thief broke through a window of the car and stole a number of credit cards, identification and keys, the sheriff's office said.

Those credit cards have been used at a number of places, including in Kings Beach, Reno and San Ramon, California.

Surveillance footage was captured of the suspect leaving a local Walmart. Anyone with information is asked to contact sheriff's detectives at (775) 328-3320 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
