A suspect was taken into custody after multiple vehicles and a business were vandalized in Reno Wednesday night, according to authorities.

Reno Police Lt. Scott Shaw said officers received a call at about 9:30 p.m. regarding a subject throwing rocks at vehicles at Vaughn Motor Sports located at 1860 Mill St.

When officers arrived, they found an alarm going off at a separate business at 1855 Mill St. and a male subject standing outside that business, Shaw said.

Police said the suspect was not listening to their verbal commands, and they thought he was possibly armed, so they pepper-sprayed him and took him into custody.

Paramedics responded to the scene to examine the suspect, who Shaw identified as Richard Perry.
