Olympians meet aspiring athletes at Squaw Valley Ski Resort

Squaw Valley Ski Resort hosted a Team USA Winterfest event on Saturday.

Winterfest is a 13-stop festival to get people excited for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in PyeongChang.

Squaw Valley was chosen as a stop due to its rich history with the Games. They were hosted there in 1960.

Local athletes Daron Rahlves and Marco Sullivan made appearances and posed for pictures with fans.

They also signed autographs and gave advice to aspiring athletes.

The event also allowed people to send messages to their favorite competitors and practice their curling skills.

The 2018 Winter Olympics will be aired on News 4 starting February 9th.
