Pedestrian hospitalized after suffering injuries in hit-and-run crash in Sparks

Sparks Police responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian at the intersection of McCarran Blvd. and East Prater Way on Friday, January 12 at around 9 p.m.

Officers say the 52-year-old victim from Sparks was transported to the Renown Medical Center with what are believed to be minor injuries.

The suspect vehicle briefly stopped after striking the pedestrian, but was seen fleeing the scene going eastbound on Prater Way, police say.

Police state that witnesses and evidence gathered at the crash site indicate that the suspect vehicle is a red passenger car and is missing the passenger side mirror.

Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of $500 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with this case.
