Sparks Mayor recovering after recent surgery
Sparks Mayor Geno Martini is recovering from surgery to relieve some of the issues relating to his Parkinson's Disease, according to the City of Sparks.
Martini was off of work for about two-and-a-half weeks after the procedure, but he is back to work as of April 6.
Steve Driscoll with the city says the procedure was done to help with some mobility issues the Mayor was battling.
Martini announced he was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2015.
According to the City of Sparks, the procedure went well and Martini is working from the office when he can and also checking in from home as he continues to recover.
