SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. -- The South Lake Tahoe Police Department received information that 60-year-old Paul Hollingsworth had just confessed to a family member that he had killed his 70-year-old girlfriend on Tuesday, October 9.
According to SLTPD, officers responded to their residence in the 3600 block of Aspen Ave around 11:45 a.m. Officers forced entry into the home after there was no answer at the door and located the victim.
The SLTPD says they initiated lifesaving measures as South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue and Cal Tahoe JPA EMS Ambulance after finding the victim unconscious and not breathing.
The victim was transported to Barton Memorial Hospital and later flown via Calstar Helicopter to Renown Hospital in Reno. The victim was pronounced dead this morning, October 10.
Hollingsworth is cooperating with investigators and was booked into El Dorado County Jail on charges for the murder of the victim, stated by the SLTPD.
No word on what was the cause for the killing.
