A 21-year-old Washoe County inmate who walked away from a work crew in Reno on Wednesday has been re-captured, according to the sheriff's office.

Irving Hernandez was taken into custody without incident at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, after he was found in the area of Sutro Street and Selmi Drive, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office announced on Twitter.

A spokesman for the sheriff's office said a tip submitted to Secret Witness helped lead to Hernandez's arrest.

The sheriff's office had said Hernandez was last seen Wednesday, Sept. 6, at Paradise Park in Reno.
