Sentencing in Recent Washoe County Child Advocacy Center Case

The Washoe County District Attorney’s office has announced the sentencing result in the most recent Washoe County Child Advocacy Center (CAC) case.

34-year-old Alexander Ryan Jensen from Sun Valley was sentenced to two consecutive life terms of imprisonment for molesting a 10-year-old female victim over the course of several weeks.

Jensen is sentenced to serve 20 years in prison before parole eligibility begins.

In December of 2017, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to possible instances of sexual abuse of a child. It was reported by counselors at a local elementary school.

Detectives were called in to conduct an investigation and determined that the victim had disclosed instances of abuse by a relative to school personnel.

The victim was interviewed at the CAC and based on the evidence obtained in the investigation, Jensen was arrested.

Deputy District Attorney Nickolas Graham argued that little children should be treasured, not used for perverse sexual gratification, as Jensen had done.
