RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Forty-five Native American veterans from the region will take part in a special Honor Flight this Veterans Day weekend.
They'll take off from Reno-Tahoe International Airport on Thursday as part of the first Native American Honor Flight.
Airport officials, Reno-Sparks Indian Colony representatives and military supporters will be on hand to celebrate the occasion with traditional song, dance and ceremony.
The group, consisting of veterans from Northern Nevada and California, will return Sunday afternoon.
