RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — The Reno Police Department has released the name of the pedestrian who was died in a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on South Meadows Parkway on Sunday, January 13 at around 3:14 p.m.
Reno Police Officers responded to the area of South Meadows Parkway and Wilbur May Parkway in Reno on the report of a vehicle vs pedestrian traffic crash.
The Reno Police Department says upon their arrival they located the pedestrian down in the roadway. The pedestrian, 28-year-old, Stillwin Den from California was pronounced dead on scene. The pedestrian was in the roadway at the time of the crash as he was conducting work on the local sewer system.
The driver of the striking vehicle stayed on scene, and is cooperating with the investigation.
The Reno Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team responded to investigate the crash. It is unknown at this time if speed or impairment are factors in this crash.
