Pedestrian dies from vehicle crash injuries on 4th St. in Reno
Reno Fire, REMSA and Reno Police were on scene investigating a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on W. 4th St. and Washington St. in Reno that occurred on Friday, July 20 at around 9:23 p.m.
The pedestrian died from his injuries the next day, on Saturday July 21, at the hospital.
According to Reno Police, the crash was reported around 9:15 p.m. An elderly man with a walker was crossing the street and was struck by a pickup truck.
The pedestrian was in critical condition and was transported to the Renown hospital. The driver remained at the scene with no injuries and cooperated with law enforcement.
Both eastbound and westbound lanes on W. 4th st. between Vine St. and Ralston St. were closed overnight due to the investigation.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.
