Reno man sentenced to 5 years for Child Pornography
A Reno resident was sentenced to 60 months in federal prison to be followed by 20 years of supervised release for using KIK Messenger to view more than 2,000 images and videos of child pornography.
21-year-old Ian Michael Ramsey has pleaded guilty to one count of receipt of child pornography.
Ramsey admitted that he chatted online with others who looked at child pornography on the KIK Messenger application.
During chat sessions, Ramsey would suggest engaging in child trafficking and discussed meeting up in Las Vegas to potentially abuse children. During the execution of a search warrant at his residence, law enforcement discovered 500 videos and 1,500 images on his computer.
Law enforcement was able to recover around 300 videos and have been deleted from his computer.
