Kids in the Reno-Sparks area will have a chance to spend some time this summer getting experience on two wheels.

The Reno Bike Project announced that middle and high school-age kids can attend two five-day Major Taylor Summer Ride Club Day Camps.

The sessions, scheduled for the weeks of July 18 and Aug. 1, will teach bike safety, road rules, basic mechanics, road and trail cycling and more.

Each day starts at 9 a.m. and ends at noon, except for the final day of the week, which ends at 2 p.m.

Bikes will be provided for students, according to organizers. Each session costs $95 per participant, though scholarships are available.
