The City of South Lake Tahoe is looking for public input ahead of a major revitalization campaign aimed at the city's core.

South Lake Tahoe officials announced Thursday that a public forum is scheduled for next week, giving residents a chance to speak into these plans.

Elements of the project include:

  • Realignment of US-50, south of the tourist core
  • A new main street in the Heavenly Village area
  • New affordable housing units
  • Additional parking along tourist core
  • Pedestrian, bike, and other transit enhancements

The meeting will be held Thursday, March 14 at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, at 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. from 5-9 p.m.
