Postal Service holding 2-day hiring event in Reno on Friday, Saturday
The Postal Service is looking for more than 200 employees to help serve residential and business customers in Truckee, Sparks, Reno, Carson City and South Lake Tahoe.
According to the Postal Service, to expedite the process, recruiters will be on-hand to personally guide prospective employees from the application process all the way to on-the-spot interviews at a Rapid Hiring Event for two days.
The Rapid Hiring Events will all occur at the Reno Main Post Office, 2000 Vassar St., from 8:30 a.m. 1 p.m. on the following dates:
- Nov 2, 2018
- Nov 3, 2018
Applicants are asked to create an online profile at usps.com/careers before attending to expedite the process.
The open positions include carrier and clerk positions with a variety of locations and shifts.
The hourly wages range from $12 to $17.80 with varying shifts and days off.
Some positions are longer term and could lead to permanent placement with the Postal Service.
