Pedestrian dies from injuries after vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in Reno

    The Reno Police Department responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on Friday, January 11 at around 9:39 p.m.

    Police say a 67-year-old Reno woman has died from her injuries after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of 6th St. and Valley Rd.

    According to Reno Police, the woman was found down on the roadway and the driver of the vehicle remained on scene.

    The woman was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. The pedestrian succumbed to her injuries approximately three hours after the crash, police say.

    The driver, 48-year-old Christopher Watts, was arrested for DUI Causing Substantial Bodily Harm, officers say.

    The Reno Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team responded to investigate the crash.
