Pedestrian suffers non-life threatening injuries after being hit by vehicle in Sparks

Sparks Police respond to vehicle vs. pedestrian crash

Sparks police say a 29-year-old man suffered non-life threatening injuries after he was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Prater Way and 4th Street on Friday, Nov. 2.

It happened about 5:45 a.m. when police responded to a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian.

According to police, the man was transported to Renown Medical Center with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.

Neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factor in the crash and the driver was cited for failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian.

Anyone who may have witnessed or may have information regarding the crash is asked to call the Sparks Police Department (775) 353-2231 or Secret Witness (775) 322-4900.
