U.S. 395 at Stead Boulevard and Red Rock Road in the North Valleys has been reopened after being closed due to multiple vehicle rollovers and a brush fire that was knocked down in the area, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

The five-acre brush fire was burning near the Shell Station off of U.S. 395 and Red Rock Road, which was closed between Silver Lake Road and Moya Boulevard, according to the Washoe County Sheriff's Office.

Truckee Meadows Fire Chief Charlie Moore says no homes or structures were damaged, and a fire investigator is en route to the scene.

The windstorms in the Reno area has also caused a power outage affecting thousands of customers in Washoe County.
