NHP looking for witnesses of Sparks road rage incident on Interstate 80 to come forward
The Nevada Highway Patrol is asking for witnesses of a recent road rage in Sparks to come forward with additional information.
Trooper Matt McLaughlin says on Tuesday, April 10 between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., troopers were dispatched to a road rage incident on eastbound Interstate 80 near the Nugget Casino.
A male driver of a semi-truck and a male driver of a local contractor in a work truck stopped on the shoulder of I-80 near the Nugget Avenue and Pyramid Highway off-ramp.
McLaughlin says the two males then got into a physical fight.
NHP is looking for witnesses who were observed filming the fight or anyone who may have seen the incident take place.
The physical fight left one of the men with serious injuries, say McLaughlin.
The Nevada Highway Patrol would like to take this time to remind drivers that road rage incidents can often have serious and/or deadly results. If you observe a motorist displaying poor driving habits, you are advised to contact to call police.
