NHP deploys new 'ghost markings' on several patrol cars

Motorists may notice a different looking Nevada Highway Patrol vehicle on the highways in the coming days.

NHP is in the process of outfitting several patrol cars with new "ghost markings" or subdued graphics for increased enforcement across the state.

The vehicles will be utilized for increased enforcement efforts, specifically targeting violations that lead to crashes.,

Troopers that are assigned these specially marked patrol vehicles will be aggressively targeting hazardous moving violations such as reckless driving, distracted driving, impaired driving, speeding, and seat belt enforcement.

If a motorist sees one of these new patrol vehicles on the highway, understand that the troopers operating the vehicle have the same enforcement abilities as a trooper driving a patrol vehicle with the highly visible graphics.
