RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Domestic violence survivors who were afraid to leave their pets behind have a new place to protect themselves and their companions.

A local domestic abuse survivor spoke with News 4-Fox 11 about how her dog helped save her life.

To protect her identity, her voice has been altered and her face was not recorded.
