A new resort-casino could soon be coming to South Virginia Street if approved by the city of Reno.

Elevation Entertainment has released its plan to build Firecreek Crossing Resort-Casino on the corner of Kietzke Lane and South Virginia Street.

The goal is to expand accommodations and lodging options for tourism and business given the proximity to the convention center.

Elevation Entertainment explored several cities on the west coast before deciding on northern Nevada.

“When thinking about where to launch our next project, Reno was an obvious choice,” says Ryan Stone, CEO/Owner of Elevation Entertainment. “Reno is one of the fastest growing cities in the country, so bringing a new entertainment destination with its already-recognized gaming industry and ideal location for building, we see this new and exciting project as appealing to the entire marketplace.”

The renderings of the new resort-casino include more than 200 rooms and suites, a 62,500 square-foot gaming floor, more than 1,200 slot machines, a sports book and more.

The company intends to combine 20-acres of land located directly across from the convention center with an adjoining entrance to the Firecreek Crossing shopping center.

The new resort-casino is less than two miles away from both the Peppermill and Atlantis casinos.

Elevation Entertainment has not released an opening date.
