Just days after a group of eight Nevada Army National guardsmen returned home from helping victim affected by Hurricane Harvey, another group is off to help rescue efforts in southern Florida.

Members of the 152nd Airlift Wing left for Fort Lauderdale on Monday, Sept. 11.

Guardsmen not only helped people in need in Texas, but they also delivered hay to feed hungry livestock.

In Florida, the guardsmen will help with communications support. They will indirectly assist with search and rescue efforts.

There is no time frame as to when the guardsmen will return home to northern Nevada.
