The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office HASTY Team said there were multiple rescues at Pyramid Lake Sunday afternoon.

Officials told News 4-Fox 11 that two people whose boat took on water were rescued and subsequently treated for hypothermia on the scene.

They said in a separate incident, a boat capsized, and three people were also rescued.

None of the individuals had to be taken to a hospital.

The Tribal Rescue team was involved in both incidents.

A day earlier, on the first day of fishing season, a fisherman was rescued from the lake after his boat sank. Sheriff's officials said he appeared to be OK.

Authorities are reminding the public to always wear life jackets or other personal flotation devices while on the water.
