Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in vehicle vs. motorcycle crash in Reno
Reno Police responded to a vehicle vs. motorcycle crash on Saturday, September 29 at around 11:30 a.m.
Officers located a seriously injured motorcyclist involved in the crash on 7th Street and North Sierra St.
The Reno Fire Department and REMSA responded to a vehicle verse a motorcycle crash at 7th Street and North Sierra St.
When Officers arrived, they learned that dark colored Chevrolet pickup was traveling East on 7th St across Sierra Street and struck a motorcycle that was turning south bound on Sierra Street from 7th Street. The motorcycle rider was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries sustained in the crash.
The uninjured driver of the pickup remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
32-year-old Joslin Griffith was arrested for DUI causing substantial injury.
Members from the Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) responded to the scene and took over the ongoing investigation. The name of the motorcycle rider involved is being withheld at this time pending notification of his family members.
