Mayor Schieve holds special meeting on puppy mills

RENO, Nev. (News 4-Fox 11) — Mayor Schieve has announced that there will be a special meeting next week regarding puppy mills in the city.

The meeting is being held after owners of two local pet stores have been indicted on felony charges involving the illegal practice of veterinary medicine and animal abuse.

Mayor Schieve said "I want to send a clear message this will absolutely not be tolerated."

The special meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 19 at 6 p.m.
