Masquerade ball at Peppermill in Reno supports Nevada Military Alliance

Men and women came to the Peppermill in Reno with their best masks on Saturday to support a local organization that benefits Nevada's veterans.

"Nevada's Masquerade: An Evening of Unknowns" was held on Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Peppermill Resort in Reno.

Funds from the event will benefit the Nevada Military Alliance, which organizes and promotes the recognition and appreciation of the state's men and women who serve in the military, as well as their families.

News 4-Fox 11's Ryan Kern served as master of ceremonies, and performances at Saturday's gala included a rendition of "Phantom of the Opera" and an appearance by Postmodern Jukebox.

Organizers say the event raised $850,000 for veterans and their families in the Silver State.
