FISH SPRINGS, Nev. — The Washoe County Sheriff's Office and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District responded to a small plane crash in the area of Fish Springs on Saturday, November 3.
The plane crashed in the area west of Pyramid Lake at around 11 a.m.
According to both agencies, the pilot was the only occupant of the aircraft. He was extricated and transported by Careflight to a hospital.
Deputies and Search & Rescue volunteers from the sheriff's office are assisting. Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District is also on site providing support.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
The Sheriff's Office says FAA will be investigating the crash.
