Louis Erriguible, the founder of Reno mainstay Louis' Basque Corner, died this week at the age of 90.

His daughter Margi told News 4-Fox 11 that Erriguible had died at Saint Mary's Hospital on Sunday, July 23.

Louis was born on Aug. 25, 1926, in France, according to his family, and moved to Reno in 1948.

Louis' Basque Corner opened in 1967, though Erriguible retired in 2010. The restaurant helped to celebrate his 90th birthday in August last year.

A service is planned to remember Louis on Saturday, Aug. 26, at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Reno. A reception will follow at Louis' Basque Corner.
