RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — A District Court judge has denied Micahel Schneider and Leilani Tau-Schnieder's petition for a Pre-Trial Writ of Habeas Corpus, meaning the judge has decided not to throw out the charges against the two.
The Puppies Plus owners are accused of multiple counts of Practicing Veterinary Medicine Without a License and Tau-Schneider faces one count in relation to the death of a dog.
The couple originally pled not guilty to the charges on September 18, 2019.
The Schneiders are scheduled to go to trial on May 11, 2020, before Judge Scott Freeman.
