Three arrested in connection to escaped Carson City inmate; escapee remains at-large
Three people have been arrested in connection to the escape of an inmate from the Carson City Jail on Tuesday morning, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office.
Michael Bass escaped from custody on June 12 just before 6 a.m. on June 12, according to Captain Brian Humphrey.
During the course of the investigation, police identified Rumor Schilling of Douglas County as a person of interest in Bass' escape.
Humphrey says during the evening hours of June 12, Schilling, Bass and three adult males were located in a hotel room in the 1300 block of North Carson Street.
Two of the males, Jonathan and Gene Crandell, were arrested, according to Humphrey, the fourth suspect was released with pending charges.
Investigators searching two additional locations in the 1600 block of North Carson Street finding several individuals who are cooperating with law enforcement and providing information.
Later in the night with the assistance of the Reno Police Department, Carson City Detectives searched a location on Golden Valley Road in north Reno. Evidence revealed that Bass had been at some of the locations but he was not located.
Additional charges are pending for the Crandell brothers, Rumor Schilling, and family members.
Authorities say anyone providing assistance to Michael Bass or concealing his whereabouts will be arrested on appropriate charges.
