RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — A flood watch is in effect from portions of northern Washoe County, Carson City and portions of the Lake Tahoe Basin starting at 1 p.m. Thursday and sticking around through the evening.

Flash flooding is possible in rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone areas due to excessive rainfall in the forecast.
