Boil order lifted in Lockwood following broken water line
A boil water order has been issued for a community in Lockwood, Nevada, due to a broken water has been lifted.
Storey County officials say the water was deemed safe following an assessment done by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection.
The Storey County Emergency Management and Canyon GID issued the boil water order after 40 homes in the Rainbow Bend sibdivision and Lockwood LCC lost water service.
According to the county, the order was a result of a water line damaged from flooding at the Cercle De La Cerese Bridge.
Residents were asked to save water starting on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017.
