First-ever Native American Honor Flight returns home

The first-ever Native American Honor Flight returned to the Reno-Tahoe International Airport on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016 afternoon.

The public was invited to welcome home the veterans. Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval and Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve were also in attendance.

Forty-five Native American veterans from Northern Nevada and California departed Reno on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016.

The veterans spent time in Washington D.C., where they visited numerous historical monuments in the nation's capital.
