Fire at Nevada Energy substation in South Lake Tahoe leaves thousands without power

GLENBROOK, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Power has been restored for more than 9,600 customers after a structure fire sparked at the Nevada Energy substation on Sewer Plant Rd. in South Lake Tahoe, according to Douglas County Officials.

Tahoe Douglas Fire reports that the apparent mechanical fire has been confined to just the power station.

News 4-Fox 11 has a crew en route to the scene.
